Why can't I apply for a Thai visa online as a Canadian resident in the Philippines?

I am Canadian living in Philippines.

I went to apply online and immediately says can only do in person.

If i put any other country as residence it will let me continue.

Has anyone ran into this before? The embassy is 5 hours away so i was hoping to avoid travel just to apply.

And as far as i can see online and in person are the only 2 options ???

Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
A Canadian resident in the Philippines is facing issues applying for a Thai visa online, as the system requires in-person applications for certain nationalities residing in the Philippines. Despite exploring online options, the user finds they must travel to the embassy, which is 5 hours away, to submit their application. Other contributors confirm that they too are required to apply in person, indicating this is a widespread issue among expats.

I see a slog to the thai embassy in Manila if you're wanting to apply for a DTV while you're in the philippines šŸ˜•

You have to travel to another country, if you want to apply in another country, and that will probably take longer than 5 hours.
