Hello all

Need some help on METV

visa for Thailand from uk

When I start the process on the website it says CHECK YOUR ELIGIBILITY I fill in the country

ie United Kingdom and British overseas territories.

Next box says CURRENT LOCATION

I put in the same as I am in England

So I type in United Kingdom and British overseas territories.

Then I get a pop up box saying

ATTENTION YOU CANNOT APPLY

FOR A THAI E-VISA WHILE YOU

ARE PHYSICALLY IN THAILAND

but I am in my house in England

Any ideas what’s wrong.

Answer summary

The original poster is facing issues with the online application for a METV visa for Thailand, receiving an error message that they cannot apply while physically in Thailand, despite being in the UK. Comments from other users suggest that this is a generic warning on the application system and advise the poster to click accept or ignore the warning, as it is a common issue for applicants outside Thailand.

nothing wrong. it pops up on all applications as a reminder to people that you cant apply from within thailand. Peple often try from here by claiming they are in another country bur the system looks at your geolocation anyway
