Which visa is best for an 80-day trip to Thailand for travelers over 55: a NON-O 90 day visa or a 60-day tourist visa with extension?
Hi. We have an 80 day trip planned beginning in January. We are both over 55. Which visa is best for us - a non-o 90 day visa, or a 60 day tourist visa with a 30 day extension. If non-o, do we claim retirement as the reason even if we don't intend to stay?

Easiest is two visa exempt and a trip to another country ( angkor wat in Cambodia springs to mind )

I would apply for a non o visa that will give you 90 days. That saves you a day on holiday going to immigration for a 30 day extension when you apply for a 60 day SETV.
And the airline company might give you trouble boarding the plane when you have a 80 day trip but only a 60 day visa.
