TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking information on long stay visa options for Thailand, particularly for a duration of about 90 days, as they plan to marry during their stay. They express confusion over the various visa categories. Responses suggest starting with a visa-exempt entry for 60 days or a tourist visa (which can be extended), and highlight the possibility of applying for a marriage visa after being married for at least two months. They also mention the option of a 6-month multiple entry tourist visa and the importance of having marriage documents ready.

Does your country have a Thai embassy? If so, a longer-term tourist visa might be offered. I paid $200 US for a 6 month multiple entry tourist visa. Of course, different countries, different availability.
You can either come on visa extempt 60 days or apply a tourist visa both gives you 60 days that you can extend 30 days based on being a tourist after marriage you can apply 60 days extension on top of that for 180 days total.
Then either book a trip to Laos or something go to a Thai embassy / consulate apply non o "following Thai spouse / visit thai family" gives you 90 days that you can apply 1 year extension on if you all the papers/money ready
A visa exempt entry will get you 60 days and can be extended by 30 days. A tourist visa the same, with the multiple entry version you can get close to 9 months out of it. I believe some immigration offices won't let you apply for a marriage visa until you've been married at least 2 months
