Anantara Siam and Le Meridien Downtown are suggested as good choices for their excellent service and amenities. HKG was huge.

Amenities: hot water machines, ATMs (HSBC & Citibank), duty-free shops, free usage of iPads & laptops everywhere, several lie-back sleepers, etc.

My Cathay Pacific flights were comfortable and not crowded.

I imagine you prefer a shorter transit time in any airport.

Go easy on yourself, as you are representing yourself here and everywhere.

It's no wonder Thais have made up their minds about certain farangs.

Brian Anderson Anantara riverside. Balcony is a must. All those other asq rooms with no balconies and the windows are sealed shut.

Western culinary standards @ Western prices. Over-rated.

Vegetarian food from outside costs far less and is authentically Thai or at least Asian.

You are in Thailand, after all.

You had more water than food.

Overall, it was more presentation than substance. You can't eat the chinas and silverware.

portions were small size which i like and you are not burning much energy in a room. But to be fair to the anantara if you wanted four meals a day no problem.

My meals are vegetarian as well.

All served piping hot
