How do you choose the what office It goes to in Vietnam? If you apply online does it automatically allocate to one? Sorry for the ignorance

incorrect. You must indicate your current country of residence and provide proof of it. So it does not allocate a random embassy but the one in your country of residence.

You must stay in the country where you apply from.

Vietnam least likely for interview. Hanoi and Vientiane both pretty fast if you have all your ducks in a row with initial submission.

I applied for a tourist visa in Vientiane, but the embassy has posted a notification that it may take 5–10 business days, or sometimes less. I’m not sure how long it will actually take. Hoping to get it done as soon as possible. I heard savannakhet works faster?
