The conversation revolves around seeking up-to-date information regarding the resumption of international flights into Thailand and the status of visa amnesty deadlines. Unfortunstely every economy on earth is equally impacted.

Thai infection and mortality rates are among lowest in the world.

Lets not prematurely open.

Look at US.

Noone can get in or out of any country.

All in same boat.

for sure they are not equally impacted - I doubt that North Korea, Laos, Pakistan, etc are aqual impacted than USA, UK, France, Germany ...

virus sees no borders, nor races. We will never see figures from No Korea or Laos.

Thailand has had approx 58 deaths with 70 + million people.

It appear Cv is contained for now due to restrictions.

I believe extending the restrictions an additional month for schools, etc until July 31 is well worth the effort. govt will have to reach deep for the people.

Ya, I see both sides, bug values

Thailands major source of income is manufacturing, from auto's to computer assemblies.

Second would be agriculture.

Tourism is in top 6 or so, and seasonal.

Thailand is not all Bkk, Pattaya, and Phuket.

*Google will list Thais GDP and revenue generators.

Have been here 16 years . Get out into Issan or central you'll see real Thailand

thank you but I was looking for reference to an actual announcement or article. Already checked on Thai gvt, CAAT, my embassy, Richard Barrow and various expat groups pages. Found nothing recent. And officials were supposed to have a meeting about this on the 26th.

If the 'actual announcement' isn't on the Thai govt site, or on the site of someone who follows the situation closely, it's safe to say that no announcement has been made yet.
