Hi Everyone, quick question.

Is the re entry permit place (survanaphumi) is still after immigration?

I know that before they were outside the immigration, not sure how about now.

Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The re-entry permit counter at Suvarnabhumi Airport is currently located inside the immigration area of Departure Hall 2, after security screening and before passport control. It is open 24/7, and the fee is 1200 Baht for a single entry. Travelers can obtain the permit directly from an immigration officer to avoid service charges. For those using the premium lane during travel, it's recommended to inform staff about the need for a re-entry permit to access the booth without exiting the security area.

But if you go threw premium lane how do you do than? Since security screening and passport are right after each other and nothing in between?

Erik Nordkvist It should work and will work. They know the issue with the Re-entry Booth being on the other side of the glass screen, That's what the door is for! The lady I asked sits at the right side behind a desk right behind the security screening. This desk seems to be manned all the time. If not just ask anyone wearing an uniform. However DON'T pass through Immigration yet

yeah, I have the same premium lane card but hope it will work. But I wonder if it might not work that specific day so let's see what I'll do.

I did this two times already. On one occasion, after the screen door I found the way blocked by poles and a security line. I did not dare step under the security line. Instead I waved a nearby guard and explained & asked him politely to allow me through. It works with a smile and some patience & respect for others

Erik Nordkvist i did run up to exactly this problem - I had a Premium Lane Card from Qatar Airways and after Premium Lane security screening DOWNSTAIRS was faced with the next step being the Immigration desk. So I alerted a Lady in uniform about my need to buy a Re-Entry Permit. She understood and opened a door in the left hand glass screen for me to enter the Departure 2 Hall where the Re-Entry booth is located. After buying my Re-Entry Permit I made my way back through the exactly same door (avoiding the queues in front of the "normal" Immigration desks) I was able to go back into the Premium Lane area and proceed from there

well, to go to chang wattana is not anything I enjoy doing. It takes half a day just to go there ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ™‰๐Ÿ™Š

You organize before you decide to travel and buy the re-entry permit at your local Immigration Office.

The counter is located inside immigration Departure Hall 2 i.e. after you have cleared the security check... just take escalator down the hall and you will see is a big board which you can't miss. 1200 Baht for single entry. Takes about 15 mins per passport. Don't need to bring your own photo and form any more, as they use their cameras, the form gets printed and you just sign it

@Gregor *********
you're right,

she doesn't need your photo or the form,

that's the service they offer for the 200baht extra No form no photo needed ;)
Gregor **********
ah, the person at the booth is just doing the service, pass the forms on to an immigration officer a few steps to the right !? Smart move, because the person in the booth does not wear an uniform . . I paid 1200 Baht and she said she doesn't need my photos ๐Ÿคจ

that's actually a company that gets the re-entry permit for you for the 1200baht

you CAN fill out your own form AND bring your own picture, walk right past them to the REAL re-entry permit counter and get it for 1000baht without the 200baht service charge.

There are 2 immigration entry points in suvaranbhumi , one is near the early alphabet gates , that side has the re entry permit counter before immigration ...

In case you go from the other gate , dont worry , just go inside the terminal and walk towards the other gate side and get the rentry from there .. ( this will be after the immigration stamp )
