TLDR : Answer Summary
The user has a NON-O visa extension based on marriage that expires on October 31st. They are unsure when to renew, asking if it's one month prior to expiration. Responses indicate that some immigration offices permit renewal 30 or 45 days in advance. Additionally, the user inquires about changing their extension to support their Thai child, questioning if they only need to maintain 400,000 baht in a Thai bank for 45 days, to which the answer states there are no specific seasoning requirements in the police order for this extension.

Some immigration offices allow renewal 30 days in advance, others allow renewal 45 days in advance. Which immigration office?

In the police order, there is no seasoning requirements for the 400K THB in a Thai bank account for a one year extension of stay based on raising half-Thai child.

IF you need more time, you have two options:

1. Get a 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19 NO LATER THEN September 27. This will give you another 60 days to season your funds.

2. IF you have not already purchased it, you can get a 60 day extension of stay based on visiting Thai family. Get that close to October 31.

My advice is to save your 60 day extension of stay based on visiting Thai family if at all possible, and to go on the 60 Day extension of stay based on COVID-19.

The money needs to be seasoned in your account for two calendar months before you apply. You need the 400K THB in your bank account NO LATER then August 31 (but the sooner, the better!).

.. I thought people with marriage extension requests only go a max of 3 days before expiry date ? Is this just Chaeng Wattana.?
