I come to thailand and want to convert my 30 days to visa o/a and then extension pension, is that possible via Thai Visa centre? And is that legal?

You cannot convert to a OA visa in Thailand, they are only available from outside of Thailand. But you can apply for a O visa from inside of Thailand.

Another big factor is with the OA is you can get two years stay in Thailand and do not have to transfer any money into a Thai bank account, using funds in your home country as proof of finance.

check the local immigration office where you will be living, things do differ a little bit from office to office. Good that you already have an account with a Thai bank, one less thing to do.

basically the main difference is the OA is applied for in your own country and health insurance is required, now it is 3 million baht worth of coverage. The O visa can be applied for either in your own country or in Thailand, and does not require health insurance.
