TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is confused about the expiration dates of their visa and extension of stay in Thailand, as there is a discrepancy between the passport stamp and the paper copy stapled in their passport. Users clarify that the passport stamp indicates the expiration of the old visa, while the paper is not a visa but a 90-day report. The new extension of stay is valid until August 11, 2026, and they need to complete a 90-day reporting on January 7, 2026.

You applied for your extension on the 16th of July, you were given an under consideration stamp until September 10th, you returned on September 10th and were stamped in until August 11th 2026.
Your visa expired around mid July 2025. That’s why you applied for an extension of stay on the 16 July 2025, not a new visa.
Immigration then told you to report back by the 10 September 2025, which you did, and your extension of stay was approved until August 2026.
The paper you have now has nothing to do with your visa. It is your 90-day report, confirming your address. You’ll need to do this again no later than the 7 January 2026 unless you leave the country. If you do leave Thailand, the 90-day count resets and you must report again 90 days after you re-enter.
So basically, you don’t have a visa anymore. That one is finished, expired, gone. What you have is a permission of stay, and as long as you keep applying for a new permission of stay before it expires, you won’t need a visa.
So, don’t forget to apply again around July 2026 for a new extension of say and make sure you get a re-entry permit should you leave Thailand during the year. If you forget, your permission of stay is cancelled and you’ll have to start from scratch, leaving the country and applying for a new visa again.
The paper with a Stamp is your 90 days report not a Visa. Your Previous Visa Expire on 10 Sept 2025. And your new Visa Expire on 11 Aug 2026, however you still need to do your 90 days reporting between 4th Jan 2026-16 Jan 2026.
you are wrong on his 90-days report due date. The due date is January 7. The report can be made in person up from 15 days before due date until 7 days after due date. Now please count again
"My paper copy that is stapled to my passport says 10th October" ....... 2025! That was your 90 day reporting. The next one is due on 7th January. Try and do it online here. If you haven't used this before you will need to tick the bottom left 'Apply' to set it up. I think you can do it anytime now.
You don't have a visa. You have an extension. Your extension expires August 11th, 2026.
The paper in your passport has absolutely nothing to do with your permission to stay in Thailand. That is your 90 day report and it's telling you when your next report is due. It even says in red on the top left "this is not an extension of stay"
