As I’m home on my first 90 visa ( based on marriage). My local immigration office said I can extend for a year after the first 60 days. So my question is when would my 90 day check ins start from is it 90 days on entry to Thailand or 90 days from the start of my first year extension?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The 90-day check-ins for your marriage visa will start from the date you apply for the one-year extension. Upon submission of your application and payment, the local immigration office typically provides documentation indicating when your first 90-day report is due.

from the start of the day you apply for the year extension (turn in the application and pay)

Most offices put a paper in your passport that tells you when you do your first 90 day report.
