How did you successfully obtain your DTV visa through Muay Thai in Vientiane?

DTV Success in Vientiane.

Got DTV through Muay Thai. Gym provided all the proper papers. The visa support letter confirmed that I signed up for 1 class per week for 6 months. I used a Wise account to show the 500,000 THB equivalent for 6 months. I used the statement version where Wise will put a stamp and signature on the statement. I also included my rental contract in Thailand that goes to May 2025.

Applied on a Monday. They looked at my documents, seemed satisfied and told me to come back on Wednesday. On Wednesday, my visa was not ready and they said because Wise is an online account that they wanted to see my bank account app on my phone to confirm my name, account number and that the amount in the account matched the submitted statements. When they saw it all matched up, they told me to come back the next day and that’s when I got my visa.

After you finish your 6 month course is the visa still valid for 5 years or do you have to take a course every year in order to maintain it?

- the visa sticker says 5-years, multi-entry. But it’s hard to know what will be required if someone needs to extend in country.
