How Did You Successfully Apply for a DTV Visa from Hanoi for Freelancing in Thailand?

My DTV visa was approved in Hanoi last week. (Freelance/workation)

* Application submitted: April 27 (Monday – Embassy closed)

* Request for additional documents: April 29 (Wednesday)

* Visa received: May 6 (Wednesday)

*Thai Embassy closed from April 30 to May 4 due to public holidays in Vietnam and Thailand.

Total processing time: 4 business days

Submitted documents

【Portfolio】

* Cover letter

* Explanation of the purpose of stay

* Declaration stating that I would not work in Thailand

* Description of my profession and work

*Since I have contracts with two companies, I included:

- The websites of both companies

- Details of my role and responsibilities for each company

- Contracts and invoices

* 6 months of bank statements, with payments from both companies highlighted

(500,000+ THB for more than 6 months in the Bank Account)

* One-year condominium rental agreement in Thailand and a copy of the landlord’s ID card

【Proof of Funds】

* Latest bank balance certificate

* 6 months of bank statements (same documents included in the portfolio)

【Proof of Stay in Vietnam】

* Passport bio page

* Entry stamp of Hanoi, Vietnam

* Flight ticket from Bangkok to Hanoi

* A photo of myself taken at the airport

* Hotel reservation voucher in Hanoi (Under my name)

* A photo of myself taken in front of the hotel

【A requested additional document】

* The business registration of the company I am currently working with.

* Since I only had a registration document for the main company that I work with, so I submitted it.

I printed the E-visa out, and no question by the immigration officer at the Airport.
