Hello is there any Philippine passport holder try to apply dtv 5 year visa in Philippines and how is your experience on this can you share as im planning to apply dtv visa next year
Answer summary
Many Philippine passport holders have successfully applied for the DTV 5-year visa at the Thai embassy in Manila, especially after the embassy became more familiar with this visa type. Applicants typically need to provide six months of bank statements, proof of remote work or freelance income, and additional documentation such as work letters and portfolios. The application process usually takes two to three weeks if submitted correctly via the Thai e-visa site. A book titled 'Unlock Thailand' by Isla Rey is recommended for detailed preparation guidance.

Yes many Philippine passport holders applied for DTV in Manila and got approved. The Thai embassy in Manila knows DTV well now. They usually ask for six months bank statement with good balance, proof you work remote or freelance with clients outside Thailand, and income proof like invoices or salary. If you can show that, experience is smooth.
For Filipino applicants they also like to see a clear work letter and your portfolio or business permit if you are freelancer. Keep your bank balance steady, not just one big deposit. Apply online via Thai e visa site and upload clear scans. Processing time in Manila is often two to three weeks.
To see how other Filipinos prepared their file and what papers helped, I found many real examples from Manila in Unlock Thailand by Isla Rey on Amazon, it shows how to prepare bank and work proof for five year visa. Good guide to plan for next year.
Not much applications since the Aug 31 guidelines update but from past reports, MNL embassy is pretty strict when it comes to applying through the workation route
I applied in Manila but back in 2025. It was very straightforward--I just sent the required docs online, then they approved eventually and sent me the e-visa. Now I think the only change is they need your NBI too
