I got a Non-Immigrant Visa Category “O” multiple entry in Australia, and look for a way to extend it or get a new one after it expires in November, I do have over a million baht in my bank here but my Ausie pension is less than the 40000 baht per month so don’t qualify for a spouse visa, what are my options.

When you get the Affidavit of income from abroad letters from your consulate the money is always pre-tax

I guess you want to apply for the 1 year Extension of Stay at local Immigration based on being over 50 years of age. If this is your first application you need OR minimum 800.000 Thb in a Thai bank on your name 2 months prior the application date OR the minimum monthly income of 65.000 Thb certified by your Embassy OR a combination of both (F.E. 400.000 Thb in bank and 32,500 Thb income)

Its 400,000 in the bank OR 40,000 a month, not both. If you're married to a Thai national then you should qualify for the 1 year extention of stay.

well after about 2 hrs in the Phitsanulok emigration office, phone calls and messages she finally agreed with your comment, I thought the same until my phone conversation with her yesterday. Than an other stop to my visa, had a joint account and we had to go to 5 different banks to find one that would open an account for me, I had to change my account about 18 months ago, not allowed by Kasikorn to have it only in my name. now with GSB
