Hello!

I am currently in Thailand on a dependent visa through my husband. My visa expires on 4 March.

I need help with:

— Change of status / extension for myself

— Visa options for my child (we apply separately if needed)

Location: Pattaya.

I would like a legal solution with clear timeline and full cost.

Could you please tell me:

1. What visa options are possible in my case

2.Total price for me and for my child

3.Processing time

4. What documents are required

Thank you.

Best regards,

Evgeniya

TLDR : Answer Summary
Evgeniya, currently on a dependent visa in Thailand, is seeking advice on extending her visa and exploring visa options for her child before her visa expires on March 4. The community suggests that she may be eligible for a caregiver visa linked to her child if the child attends an international school; however, as the child is not yet attending school, Evgeniya might need to obtain a Designated Teacher Visa (DTV) for both herself and her child, requiring her to exit Thailand and spend 2-3 weeks abroad. Clear details on costs and required documentation have not been specified but are critical for planning.

If your husband visa is still valid or being extended you can extend from his if that is an option but given your question sounds like its not

Your child can get a student visa at school and you can get a care taker visa for your child

International school and student visa for your child and guardian visa for you

Lana Augustine yes. Best option. School will help you with the visa for the child. Then you have to fly to laos to get the visa. Then you can apply for the guardian visa. You need 500k baht in a thai bank account. You can not do the monthly income/payments for the guardian visa.

I'm assuming your child is not Thai?

Are they attending school in Thailand?

That's likely to be your only option for both of you to remain

then unless you're 50 years old or older, likely your only good option will be DTV. You would have to leave Thailand and apply and receive yours. Then you could apply for your daughter's. It would require you to be out of Thailand for 2-3 weeks.

Evgeniya Tabak over 50 it's easier. But I suppose you're younger. You need to have funds, then apply for a guardian visa.
