TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a visa for both yourself and your spouse, you need to demonstrate financial capability. While one million Baht is typically required, this amount can be shown to be in your account alone, provided you submit a sponsorship letter indicating both parties have access to the funds.

Ive double checked this and yes you would need 1 million to cover both applications. It is allowed to have the 1 million in solely your account though, you would just have to write a sponsorship letter along with that and/or that you both have access to the funds in ‘your’ account with the 1M in there.
