Hello, I have a question about my French boyfriend's visa. I will move back to my home, and he will apply for a visa to join me.

1. What type of visa should my boyfriend apply for in order to visit Thailand? We are also considering getting married while he is in Thailand, so we want to make sure that the visa will accommodate that possibility.

2. If we decide not to get married, would it be possible for us to open a business together?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the appropriate visa for their French boyfriend to visit Thailand, considering the possibility of marriage. They also want to know if they can open a business together if they decide not to marry. The responses indicate that for non-marriage options, the boyfriend is likely limited to tourist visas, and marriage can occur regardless of the visa type. Furthermore, opening a business is possible without marriage, but specific legal advice is recommended for business setup and working permits.

Have a look at french embassies website. Without being married or job he is basically limited to the tourist visas that 3 to 9 months. Check the options any longer can check ED visas when you are here or maybe the new 6 month visa is coming but thats a maybe

. Can get married on tourist visa.

You can open business employing a foriegner even if its your husband is a whole new ball game (advise asking question seperately or study it)

1. Need more details. What age is he?

The type of visa he enters on (or no visa) is irrelevant as to whether you could marry whilst he’s here.

2. You don’t have to be married to open a business together. The specifics of the business setup and for him to get a working permit are really outside of the scope of this visa advise group so you’d really need to consult with an accountant or lawyer to do so.
