TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on which visa to apply for their upcoming trip to Thailand from December 3rd to March 28th. They have previously stayed in Thailand for up to 4 months on visas that required extensions. A comment suggests that without being married, the user may not qualify for an extension to cover the fourth month.

Unless you're married you won't qualify for any extension that will get you to 4 months.

Hi Brandon thanks for reply what visa do you think I should apply for?

@Steve *******
either apply for a Multiple Entry Tourist visa before you leave for Thailand or get a single entry tourist visa and take a risk at doing a visa exempt border bounce. But you've spent so much time in Thailand they might give you a hard time without a visa.

Brandon can I do a 3 month tourist visa then go to immigration for the other month?

@Steve *******
No, a Tourist Visa gets you a 60 day entry stamp which can be extended once for 30 days. To get 4 months from a METV you must exit and re-enter once.

a tourist visa only gives you 60 days and you can go to immigration to get another 30. Then you need to leave.

The only option you have to not have to leave the country would be retirement visa. You can look at the embassy website for the "OA" retirement visa. It has high requirements like a police clearance, health check, proof of funds and $100,000 in insurance. But you'll get stamped into Thailand for 1 year.
