What type of accommodation documentation is required for a tourist visa to Thailand?
I applied for a tourist visa for Thailand and all my documents are accepted except for documentation for accommodation. We keep insisting on proof of accommodation. I submit correspondence from several hotels confirming my reservations. Then they keep returning these documents and asking me for proper confirmation whatever that means. They said no emails. What are they talking about.? Do they require you to book through a booking agency who maybe pays them off.?

If you book with Agoda you get both email confirmation and an attached booking confirmation, the latter being what they want

Go to email, click on side on top, there is option for print, and click convert into pdf and then upload that :), hope that helps

I had same prob sent a condensed e mail with hotel name adress phone number and receipt off room booking with my name .dates and duration and then got accepted

ok, you need to just book ONE night, and then using that site, log in go to the booking and download the confirmation that lists your name, the hotels name AND address, the date you will be staying , and total paid.

You have to download the email confirmation of your booking and then convert that file into a pdf document. There are free websites that will do this for you if you google search: “convert email file to pdf”. If there are several booking and therefore several pdf files you will have to compile these into one singular pdf document. You can merge pdf documents for free at Ilovepdf website will.

Scanned the confirmed reservation with the date and confirmation number file to the application if that’s what you’re doing otherwise I guess you have to email it but I think someone said no Email so I don’t know about that

If you are staying max 60 days and have a normal tourist passport that’s shows you not staying in Thailand oftenThen it’s much easy to process your extra 30 in Thailand visa a agent as it’s cheaper then getting a 60 day visaThen you do not need room booking ect Less stress

Marcel Sawyer An extension without using an agent costs 1900B which is more than the cost of a 60 day tourist visa (£30 @ RTE London). If you include a visa agent's fee then you are going to pay much, much more than the Embassy price for your 60 day stay.

Thailand is simple and is trying to get rid of the BS visa applications. If you have booked and confirmed the hotel with a payment, then the hotel should be able to send you an attached PDF. PERSONALLY, I have lived here for 16 years, and I make most of my bookings through AGODA with no issues getting the confirmation immediately. It does not cost any more than you would pay for the hotel.

Jim Hartman yes, absolutely. UNLESS your purpose of visitation is to VISIT FRIENDS/FAMILY, then you ask that someone to write you a letter of invitation include his/her signature and a copy of Thai ID cards/visa/passport of the invitee. Then the proof of ownership of the condo you will stay.

It means that you MUST sent them the complete reservation in form of pdf, they do NOT accept screenshots of emails etc. 2 weeks ago, they too asked me NOT to send them screenshot JPEG but the original pdf files
