What to do if your Thai Non-B visa application gets cancelled?
Dear all,
My Thai Non-B visa application was cancelled on 6 July, even though it was previously in Pending Approval status. I would appreciate it if anyone who has had a similar experience could kindly reply and let me know:
Why the application was cancelled,
Whether you submitted a new application,
And whether the visa was eventually approved.

Did your employer send the proper documents needed? And was your employment within the legal approved occupation? If all ok from your employer, it is not often it gets rejected, and remember you can't start work before your blue book from department of employment is properly signed and stamped

I have held several Non B visas, with associated Work Permit, and the prospective employer has always handled the applications and documentation. They should be managing it all for you. Unless you meet the requirements for it under your own business or company.

immigration does not process visa applications. That is done by embassies.Brandon ************
Normally when a visa application is "cancelled" instead of rejected, it means there was some type of incorrect information on the application. A spelling mistake, a wrong passport number, an incorrect date. Something like that.

The first step is document check, where the errors you talk about are checked followed by pending approval. Any errors and Thai Embassy will notify you for correction. Pending approval should then mean documents/application are ok. I am in exactly the same circumstance, application for my non o retirement submitted more than 5 weeks ago....

5 weeks? That seems unusually long. I triple checked mine and am positive everything matched my passport. But it was still canceled for “wrong personal information”. The kicker is they don’t say what was wrong AND you no longer have access to even look at your original application to see if you really did make a mistake. Quite the fiasco. I ended up using an agent.
