What did you put in for the 5 years plan ? Not sure what to explain. Was thinking of saying staying for 1,5 years travel outside of Thailand and then coming back but how does that work with leaving after 6 months for visa run ? Do you have to explain the visa run as well ?
Cheers for any advice đ

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around what an expat should include in their 5-year plan for obtaining a Digital Tourist Visa (DTV) in Thailand. Many participants advise that there's no strict requirement for a detailed plan and suggest providing a general outline of your intentions, such as exploring Thailand and engaging with its culture. Additionally, it is highlighted that the DTV allows for multiple entries during its validity period, and there shouldn't be a need to elaborate on visa runs unless specifically asked.
Come and go as you please, provided you obtained your DTV legitimately and you donât have any criminal records, interpol flags etc then itâs up to you how long you spend outside the Kingdom, all that is happening is the 5 year clock started when your DTV was granted
As part of the additional information requested by London (workation), they asked what I would be doing during the 5 years. My response was that myself and my Wife (Thai) would be exploring all areas of Thailand with a view to deciding where to settle in the future.
The DTV is valid for 5 years starting from day of issue as day 1.
There is no need to make another visa run during the validity, you can use this multiple entry visa over and over again until the valid until date mentioned on it.
Anonymous participant what, I had mentioned was that once this program is done, I would like to continue to explore more of Thailand and Thai culture ie as a part of the cover letter. Which is genuinely my intent too.
You, don't have to showcase a fixed date-wise schedule.
But keep the financials strong so as to project financial stability.
This is all as per current rules and events and with no imagination or speculationđ.
