TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for the Thai DTV freelance visa, it's recommended to enter an intended date of arrival within 180 days of your application date, regardless of the lengthy processing times reported by others. For the intended date of departure, you should not select a date five years out, as the visa is not a continuous stay permit. Instead, choose a departure date that reflects a realistic timeframe for your stay, keeping in mind that the visa allows for multiple entries within its validity period.
