Hi,

I finally got my e- visa approval few hrs ago from the Thai consulate Frankfurt after an almost 4 week wait!

My mind is just spinning, where I go from now? Test and go has been scrapped! Sandbox Phuket? Have to book everything individual, or axi from airport to hotel, PCR Test?

I just don't know what to do next!

TLDR : Answer Summary
After receiving your e-visa to Thailand, your next steps involve navigating the current travel regulations. The Test and Go program is currently no longer available, so your best option is the Phuket Sandbox. You should book a SHA+ hotel in Phuket, schedule your COVID-19 tests through the Thailand PSAS website, and arrange transportation either through your hotel or by booking SHA+ transport. It is advisable to gather all necessary documentation before applying for the Thailand Pass. You may want to wait for potential updates on travel regulations after January 4.

Wait until end of day on January 4 before you do anything. They will make a new announcement regarding their COVID measures for visitors

A lot of Folks used Royal Vacation as a one stop shop. They had a very reliable reputation. I used them back in August for Sandbox. They have 7 nite packages on their site now starting from 18k bht.

You book any SHA+ Hotel in Phuket. Then you go to the Thailand PSAS website to book your Covid tests in Phuket. You can then book SHA+ transport from the airport to your hotel, or reach out to the hotel and see if they can take care of that for you.

Once you have documentation of all of those things, along with insurance and flight, you can apply for Thailand Pass.

Also, I would wait until after the update on Jan 4th, to see if anything changes.

at this point I'd be worried about more restrictions, not less 😅

Very true.

This comment hits the proverbial nail on the proverbial head. Nothing else to add except you book AND PAY. You will need receipts for Thai pass.

Unless you want to spend a full week in a hotelroom, Phuket Sandbox is the way to go for now, unless they reinstate Test & Go tomorrow on the 4th of January. I think it's doubtful they do, but unless you're in a hurry, maybe wait and see.

Now, I don't actually know how the Phuket Sandbox works 100%.

But I think you book a hotel, and then book tests and transportation through the hotel again. But hoping someone can chime in and correct me on this if I'm wrong.

Here's a list of hotels certified for the Phuket Sandbox
