I 've got a visa denied at the Thai Embassy in Vientiane to obtain O-visa based on my daughter birth certificate. Due to the fact that I cross the border from Thailand to Laos on my other passport. I have dual citizenship. They told me what needs to get back to Laos with a passport that I want to apply for a visa. Please help, if anyone had experience the same situation before.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user faced denial of an O-visa at the Thai Embassy in Vientiane due to applying with a passport that did not have the necessary entry stamps. Suggestions from commenters include returning to Thailand with the same passport used to exit, applying with the correct passport that has the entry stamp, and ensuring all visa requirements are met.

The games people play who have dual passports. Comes back to bite sometimes.

just walk around without any preparation bites in the ass, but it is the fault of the Thai Immigration.

Option, come back to Thailand. Book flight to Laos, use the passport you entered Thailand to leave Thailand.

Use the second passport to enter Laos, so you get the Visa on Arrival and Entry stamp in that passport.

Use that passport to apply for a new visa for Thailand,

Use that passport to leave Laos,

Use that passport to entry Thailand.

The passport A is Romanian

Romanians qualify for a Thai visa on arrival, and I believe a Lao visa on arrival. I believe that's the only passport you can use to get the Non-O visa, UNLESS you purchase a Lao tourist visa at the Lao consulate in Thailand.

If his profile is to believe, he has a passport from Moldova. This passport does not qualify for a Laos Visa on Arrival, according to Wikipedia (

Moldova also requires a visa to enter Thailand

I don't understand. You:

1. Left Thailand on Passport A

2. Applied for a Non-O visa using Passport B

3. Thai immigration said you can't use Passport B.

This makes sense. You have to re-enter Thailand by land using the same passport you left with because of the visas and entry stamps. Passport B will not have the Laos visa on arrival or entry stamp.

If you left Thailand on Passport A, then where's that passport at? Why would it be elsewhere besides with you?
Robert *******
That is also correct as you can not switch passport using land borders

At the border with Laos, they refuse to put Laos Visa in Passport B.
Robert *******
You applied for a Visa using a passport that does not have an entry stamp and Laos visa inside?
Robert *******
Sorry, but you need to have the entry stamp and Visa inside your passport to use this passport to apply for a visa.
