TLDR : Answer Summary
The issue of having a name discrepancy on your visa compared to your passport can lead to serious problems when trying to enter Thailand. Many community members agree that this discrepancy is likely to result in denial of entry. It's highly recommended to contact the embassy that issued your visa immediately to get it corrected. Furthermore, if you try to apply for a new visa while your current one remains active, you might face complications as shared by another user who had their new application canceled. It’s crucial to resolve this issue before your travel.

I contacted the immigration office, and they asked me to apply for a new visa. As soon as I applied, my new visa application was automatically cancelled. I then received an email stating that my current visa is still active, so I cannot submit a new visa application while the old visa remains active.
