Anonymous participant I extended my stay in Cambodia just in case this happens, but I know someone who had the same problem, she left to Vietnam border and came back in with a new stamp.

Cambodia takes 11 business days. You needed to enter Cambodia on a tourist visa, which is good for 30 days.

Can we just cross the border to get 14 more days or overstay for 1-2 days until the visa is approved ?

Anonymous participant No, as you may need to go for an interview/provide more documents. Entry Stamps check is also possible at that moment unfortunately. Would suggest to visit a third country quickly and back to application country if you don't have the chance to remain any longer.
