Ask Thailand · Answer

A user has booked a flight to Bangkok for November 3rd but is unable to register for the Thailand Pass, which opens on November 1st. The Thailand Pass requires applications to be submitted at least 7 days prior to arrival, causing anxiety for travelers with flights immediately after the new system launches. Suggested solutions from the community include applying for a Certificate of Entry (COE), waiting for the Thailand Pass system to activate, considering adjusting flight dates, and being aware of the possibility of additional measures like PCR test bookings in Phuket.

Just wait till after New Year. Waste of time planning anything before then. 🙄

I'm arriving 5th Nov. Got COE already. Will be adjusted at immigration on arrival to 1 night. My AQ hotel already emailed me with reduced price and package for 1 night stay. And promise to refund the rest.

Today, I called Thai Los Angeles Consulate, I can't even leave a message.. Don't try reaching out to a live person, waste of time.

Unfortunately media and hype is the cause of misleading confusion. People are jumping the gun and booking flights on the basis of the new protocols. The new protocols will only come into force when the digital platforms for such are up and running, which certainly won't allow for flights arriving from the 1st. My advise would be to change flight to a date once you know system is up and running.

Good info guys, thanks so much. I guess to change my flight will be the wisest move.

Sadly, you and the other people who have flights scheduled for just after the entry rule changes can't do anything but wait it out 🙁 You need that thai pass website to be active and it's not turned on yet
