Just flew in after being denied dtv by Tokyo and downgraded to an education visa, very common from that embassy.
Immigration asked me for my e-visa on arrival. I said I got denied DTV and I'm getting an agent. They asked why. I told them that embassy was bad.
They were upset because I explained that I can't do my course with the current visa and I need an agent to work it out. Lots of supervisor talking, typing, getting upset. Changing things.
The customs and immigration is fine with DTV, it's the individual embassy workers that paper to be causing problems. But they gave me my education visa because I can spend more time this year in Thailand with it.
I was surprised how concerned they were.
In their eyes someone that would spend money isn't able to do so because a cankerous embassy.
