Ahen applying for a visa, it is asking me for information about where i am staying. My plan was to get there and look for apartments in Pattaya first. Should i just pay for an apartment online and then finish the single entry visa? Thanks for any advice

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a visa, it's important to provide information about your accommodation in Thailand. If you're planning to look for an apartment in Pattaya upon arrival, you can initially show a hotel booking for your first few nights, as the visa application only requires proof of your initial stay. This way, you don't need to pay for an apartment online before you arrive.

You're going to be homeless and sleep on the street while you look for an apartment?

I assume you're going to stay at a hotel to start with. Upload your hotel booking. They're not asking for your entire stay, they're asking for the first place you'll stay.
