Hi all!

I’m gonna apply the DTV in Hanoi.

I’ve been running my own company in my country for almost 10 years and I issue myself a fixed income every month.

Just wondering which category(business owner or remote worker) I should apply as so that it’d be easier and higher chance to get it done.

Thank you so much!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on which visa category to apply for to enhance their chances of approval for the DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) in Hanoi, given their experience as a business owner and fixed income situation. Responses suggest that both 'workation' and 'remote worker' categories are viable options. However, the 'workation' category might involve less paperwork and higher chances of quick approval.

Remote worker. Make yourself a letter giving you the right to work remotely from Thailand

I recently did this. I went as wokcation but went in as an employee of the company rather than owner as I had weekly payslips and was advised there are less document requests. Took 6 days to get approved in Hanoi.

The DTV categories are workation or softpower. It sounds like you should choose workation 😉

You have a very high chance either way. Not that much difference in paperwork required.
