My partner is a financial advisor and is asking what exactly should he present as a proof of his work. Should he make a detailed description of the services he offer? How detailed? Woth some printscreens? We plan to apply for DTV in Vientiane in December.

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a DTV visa in Vientiane, your partner should provide detailed proof of his work as a financial advisor. This includes a description of services offered, business registration documents, screenshots of relevant online profiles (like LinkedIn), and evidence of remote work that does not involve Thai clients. It's also advisable to include invoices, receipts, or last year's tax declaration to establish a clear professional background.

The embassy just wants to be sure you work legally and out of Thailand. I'd recommend invoices or receipts - or if you can't provide them - last year's tax declaration. Business registration is also handy.

Focus on detailing his work online, business registration, screenshots of websites, LinkedIn profile etc. Letter detailing permission to work remotely in Thailand and with no Thai clients.

sorry, but I don't understand this. He works online and his clients dont care from where. Why would they have to give him permission to work from Thailand? It doesn't make sense to me.

because, that's what the Thai Embassy or Consulate wants to see and read.
