TLDR : Answer Summary
The user applied for a Thai visa but received a request for additional documentation—a Travel Booking Confirmation or a registration voucher for their accommodation in China. Community members explain that this likely relates to proof of residence and that the user's hotel should provide a residence registration receipt. They also suggest contacting the hotel for documentation or considering an application from their home country if issues persist due to their current visa application from Shanghai.

Are you in an apartment or a detached house? Apartments usually report the resident form. If it is a house, the owner might do it. All these little details and changes without notice make it a complicated process. This is why I use a visa agent. They are always up to date on exactly what you need; it's their business.

tm30 is what you get from whoever that you rent from once in Thailand and they file that with the government for you at least my agent filed it for me. I came with the intention of staying long term but after all the run around I received for a visa I have decided its not worth it to me and im pressuring a country that better suits me.

We did all this and paid for a three month visa prior to departure. Not recognised by Thai immigration. We got two months on arrival and had to apply and pay for a one month extention.

Because your applying in Shanghai but your not Chinese ….

You need to get a document from Shanghai government proving your address and visa status there then upload these documents to the visa application

You need to apply for visa from your home country or face these issues

yes unfortunately Thai immigration can randomly request these documents that are required .

If you apply in your home country it would be straight forward .

Because you are applying in Shanghai and you are not Chinese passport holder they want you to show proof of your hotel stay or residence in Shanghai

With out that you have 3 option only

Go back to your home country and apply

Start application again with vpn set up in your own country but put your country as you are in your home country

Or depending what passport holder you are then you don’t even need a visa you get 60 days entry with out need for a visa that can be extended to 90 days also

What passport do you hold

no visa free entry for bengalis

So options are get the document from China or from your landlord proving your address in Shanghai

Or go apply from your home country

Start the application again I would say and fill out the questions as you are in Bangladesh maybe ……

Headache for you ey

not tm30 because this can only be provided by someone who is in Thailand and you must apply outside of Thailand. If there is a similar cert in China then get that, or proof from the hotel that you are staying in china

OP. did you book a hotel or an airbnb? If you booked via a booking platform then you may need to contact the hotel and ask them. Recently there has been a clapdown on unregistered airbnb etc selling daily and weekly rooms, which is illegal. they can only do 30 days or more (and still need to be registered)

You should register your accommodation or hotel and you’ll be issued with a residence registration receipt. You can do it online or ask your hotel to assist you. Ideally your hotel has already registered your accommodation and they should have the registration slip. Ask them or go to the nearest police station and register.

Just to give more Clarification to the Question by the OP:

the OP is a Student in China and applying for a Thai E–Visa at the Thai Consulate in Shanghai (China)

the Thai Consulate in Shanghai is asking for something (Declaration Voucher of Overseas Personnel's Accommodation Registration in China) that all Residence Permit Holders in China (including students) would already have had and
@Denis ******
was kind enough to provide the English Language Link to the Shanghai Municipal Gov't information about this Declaration Voucher of Overseas Personnel's Accommodation Registration

the Thai Consulate in Shanghai is asking about something from China's National Immigration Administration, not something from Thai Immigration

Hopefully, the OP understands where (China government website/app) to obtain what is requested from the Thai Consulate in Shanghai
