Hi guys. Need Help....

Topic: Online visa from London.

( non o based on marriage )

Got through steps 1-4.

Now on step 5.

Uploading paperwork. ..

1. Passport page /

2. Passport photo /

3. Declaration /

4. Wage slip /

5.Wife I.D. /

6. Proof of accommodation ?

Staying at wife's house can I upload house book.

7. Marriage certificate ( English ) /

8. Don't understand ?????

I scanned my paperwork individual so e.g. marriage certificate paperwork consists of 4 x double sided sheets.

Application form only lets me upload 1 sheet per section.

If I can sort it out what happens next.

Going to try and get tourist visa for a friend. Will it be as difficult ?

If I can't sort mine out maybe I have to go for a tourist visa too.

Sorry for the long post but really stuck.

Thanks.

Anyone got any ideas on any paperwork for the tourist visa single entry.

I have to get online for a friend so maybe I'll cut the bullshit paperwork and get a tourist visa too.

# Here's another part of the story.

After we arrive in January

We are staying at my wife's house for about 6 days then flying into Ho Chi Minh for a holiday where I will also look for work teaching.

I could go for a non o without funds needed when I have to.

I have a few weeks to crack this online crap so any help or ideas from the group is really appreciated.

Thanks again.

After I finished my application it asked me if I wanted to apply for some one else.

I declined because I didn't have his full details at the time.

I also opened up a email account and thai e visa account for him.

So will try again today.

Will let you know.

ignore this first page residency box as I have here

if it asks for the upload, then you need to do it. You must complete any section that shows a red asterisk or you cannot move on. At the very beginning, it asks about country of residence. If he holds a UK or Irish passport, just ignore it or the whole application will go wrong. That section is referring to non UK passport holders with leave to remain in the UK.

in your case the paperwork for a single entry tourist visa will not be dissimilar.

1) Passport Bio Page

2) Recent photograph

3) Declaration

4) Travel booking confirmation

5) Proof of accommodation

6) Financial evidence

7) Confirmation of legal residence

I didn't see (4) on your original list and for (5) just get a letter of invitation and also send a copy of your wife's ID.

As others have said you can use a PDF to create multi-page documents.

If necessary you can use you phone to create them. The Google Drive app will do it for free. The Dropbox and OneDrive apps will also do it (OneDrive you need a subscription for multi-page, Dropbox I don't know).

It seems like you will face some hassle whichever way you go.

Some have suggested just uploading the first page online then taking or sending the full documents with your passport.

This could work because they won't actually check the documents (apart from the automated check of (1) and (2)) until they get your passport.

If you do it this way you must tell them that the documents you submitted online are not complete when you submit your passport.

Challenge is getting each upload under .5mb.... save the scans as pdf files then search Google for a pdf file reducer/file shrinking software.

The system is really slow so do not expect to do in in a couple of hours.

Item 8 is proof of your UK address. Should be obvious from your bank statements but I included a copy of a water rates bill as well.

Scan of wife's blue house book will be fine.

You will only get 90 days single entry from London though... so then you are either into having to leave Thailand and applying for another visa or extending for a year which drags in the issue of locking up 400,000 thb in a Thai bank account ๐Ÿ˜ฃ

Good part is not having to send in the physical documents you have scanned.. just the barcoded document and passport.. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I had the same problem re bank statements for past three months. What i did was upload the first one and then posted the others with the application. Nothing said and the required visa was issued.

I had to send them my 'self-assessment' from the Tax office.

Didn't need bank statements with the old paper application for non o based on marriage .

Do you think wage slip is ok ?

Cheers

For 6 you don't need all that. A simple one page invitation from your wife is fine.

Multiple pages can be put in a pdf file and uploaded. Yes, Yes, I know it says Jpeg but pdf files work ok.
