What options do I have for extending my stay in Thailand if my Non B visa application is delayed due to degree certification requirements?

Hi I’m from UK and already on a 60 day Covid extension; currently trying to get my Non B visa in Udon but finding it very difficult as Udon immigration won’t accept without my degree being certified in UK first before it can be then re-certified in Bangkok. But I haven’t got enough time as it takes 15 days to process the Non B and my extension runs out Feb 7th. UK aren’t giving out anymore Covid letters, so I can’t get another Covid extension... So what option do I have?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A UK expat currently on a 60-day COVID extension in Thailand is struggling to obtain a Non B visa in Udon due to the requirement of having their degree certified in the UK and then re-certified in Bangkok. With their extension expiring soon and the UK no longer issuing COVID letters, they are seeking advice on possible options to extend their stay.

The U.K. authorities indeed no longer issue letters and it says as much on their website. I am also British and the two times that I have applied for the 60 COVID extension I did not have to provide any evidence of this (at MTT so Udon may be different). However if it helps you can print out the page stating this on the U.K. government site and present it to your immigration office if they ask.

I don't know who told you that you can't get another 60 day covid extension without the embassy letter especially if your embassy doesn't issue them.

Go apply for a 60 day covid extension. Then work on getting your degree certified via the UK, etc so you can apply for an in country Non-B visa

thanks for the response but how do I get another extension if I don’t have the letter anymore? Do I need a letter from my embassy saying they don’t issue them anymore and will that be enough for immigration to give me another extension.

@K**
,All the immigration offices have a form you fill out at the immigration office that says your embassy doesn't issue the letter, you can't travel, etc.

Remember the last day you can apply for another covid extension is Jan 29 <- that's the day the order allowing them expires. SO get over to your immigration office and see how you apply for a 60 day covid extension.

IF you have an email from your embassy stating they don't issue the letter or a screen grab from their website take it with you
