Hi. Does anyone know if there is an option to convert from a COVID extension to a 1 month ED visa? This is for my daughter. She just finished Grade 12 at an international school and got the student visa cancellation letter. Her passport is also about to expire in a few months. So we're in a dilemma and wondering if a new passport can be gotten on a COVID extension. Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the possibility of converting a COVID extension into a 1-month education visa (ED) for their daughter, who recently completed Grade 12 and has a canceled student visa. Community comments suggest there is no such thing as a 1-month ED visa and recommend contacting the educational institution for guidance. It's also highlighted that visa conversion depends on the prior visa status and that specific educational programs may have different requirements.
1 month? Really? What is it you would need to study- as always itβs minimum 3 months directly as the visa! This is what I searched for me and know. If you want to stay a month just again get Covid extension- study you can do and continue on any visa whatsoever!
I asked for Thai learning reading writing pro course - school says minimum 45 days time to convert visa to ED in country for Indian passport as it takes some weeks for police noc or somewhat !
You can try posting specific coursers or subject than - because itβs always case to case basis here in Thailand πΉπ!= just to get better feedback
You need to contact the school you want to use for an ED and ask them what's possible. They should be familiar with the policies at the local immigration office and what is and isn't possible.
