Hi everyone ,

I’m married with Thai girl and as soon as COVID-19 let us we’re gonna to live for long term in Thailand.

🔺🔺Can you recommend which visa is more comfortable for long stay?

❇️we have information about Non O visa , (Multiple entry )👉🏻 if I make this visa, how long time can I stay in Thailand? Is for 1 year?

Should I leave the country every 90 days?

This visa cost 175€ if I make in Thai embassy in Madrid and I don’t need to show any money at bank account but if I have to leave Thailand every 3 months until one year is a little madness and expensive too...

Can I buy only one way flight from Spain to Thailand?

❇️ Non O visa ( single entry ) is 70€...

Only for 90 days?

Getting this visa from Madrid , can I buy only one way flight from Spain to Thailand?Should I show at the airport one flight to another country after the 90 days?

If someone have advice about this pls help me

because I’m very confused

Thanks guys 🤘🏽

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking guidance on the best visa options for long-term living in Thailand after marrying a Thai citizen, specifically inquiring about the Non-O visa types. They express concern regarding the need to leave the country every 90 days and the costs associated with obtaining the various visa types from the Thai embassy in Madrid.

I’m debating if to let this in, and after thinking about it, I decided to let this in, BUT I’m also closing comments.

1. AS OF RIGHT NOW, the borders to Thailand are closed, unless you have some urgent reason to return. Visa rules may change once the borders reopen, we don’t know.

2. A multiple entry Non-O visa based on marriage to a Thai national, if used correctly, is good for about 17 months. *SOME* embassies require showing money; Madrid’s embassy page is in Spanish, and I don’t know what it says - most people get them at Vientiane, Laos, or HCMC, Vietnam. On this visa, you can stay in Thailand for no more than 90 days on each entry. Most people who are on this type of visa live close to a border, and bounce in and out of border quickly by land.

3. A single entry Non-O visa based marriage to a Thai national is only good for 90 days, however most people use that visa to get a one year extension of stay based on marriage to a Thai national.

4. A one year extension of stay based on a Thai national is acquired inside Thailand, and require either having a monthly income of 40K THB, OR savings in a Thai bank account of 400K THB. You need to purchase a re-entry permit before you can leave Thailand to keep your extension of stay “alive”.

5. You can buy a one way flight from Spain to Thailand when you apply for your visas.

However, since the borders are still closed now, I recommend staying in Spain and wait for the borders to reopen.

Good luck!
