I am currently in Vientiane in the process of applying my Non-B visa and need help as to the order in which things need to occur.

I have all the paperwork needed to apply for my non b visa. Now that I am out of the country, in which order do I need to complete the steps to obtaining my new visa via the Vientiene Embassy.

Thank you!!

TLDR : Answer Summary
To apply for a Non-B visa at the Thai Embassy in Vientiane, first, visit the embassy's website and review the eVisa application steps. Create a profile on the eVisa online platform, select your country and the Vientiane consulate, then choose the Non-Immigrant B visa option. Upload the necessary documentation, including proof of entry into Laos, and submit your application. Print the confirmation and take it to the consulate to pay the visa fee (2000 baht). Monitor your application status online for approval, which typically takes a few business days.

Did you go to the thai consulate in Vientiane website and read the eVisa application steps?

*******************************************************************************************

You go to Lao, you log into the eVisa online website, make a profile, select your country of passport and then that you're in Lao, then you select the Vientiane consulate. Then you select Non-Imm visa and the correct choice on the drop down for the B visa you want

Then you fill in the data, upload proof you're in Lao (visa/entry stamp) the required documents in the required places, check that there are no errors and submit your application.

You'll get a confirmation to PRINT out and you take that to the consulate to pay for the visa (2000baht)

After that you just monitor the status of your application in the eVisa system. When it's approved they'll send you an email with the visa in a PDF file which you print and give with your passport to the officer when you stamp back in to thailand.

Keep in mind today is the last day the consulate is open until next Monday (the 14th) ๐Ÿ˜ฎ because tomorrow and friday are holidays, so you're gonna camp out in Lao for 5 or 6 days if you just got there now to apply online ๐Ÿ™‚

They post they have a 10-15 day processing time but really it's just a couple business days after you pay

thank you so much! This is very helpful.

Do you have any idea how to find the link to the consulate appointment calendar? All the links through their official website just take you to a spam page

you don't MAKE an appointment, you apply online thru the vientiane consulate, you PRINT the confirmation you applied then you go to the consulate between 9 and 11 and pay for the visa

AND

remember what I said about their holiday closures tomorrow and friday, if you're there now and going to apply you can't go to the consulate until MONDAY to pay for the visa

I really appreciate the support!
