What should I expect when re-entering Thailand with a DTV visa and the missed 90-day report?

I landed in Bangkok (BKK) last night after a 4-day trip to Taiwan. At immigration, the officer called another IO to escort me to a separate room, where I waited for around 30 minutes.

After that, an officer called me over and asked if I had ever used the VIP lane/Fast Track service before. (I had used it once on my first DTV entry last year through an agent.)

I told him that I hadn’t used it this time because I didn’t think I needed it since I have a DTV visa. This was my third entry, and I also didn’t use it on my second entry.

He simply said, “You did the right thing. You don’t need to use that anymore since you have a visa, and immigration officers will no longer provide that service.”

They didn’t ask me anything about my job, my income, or the type of DTV I have. I think the only issue was that I had used the VIP line service once before, and that was it.

After that, they stamped me for 180 days and let me go. That was the entire process.

So, based on my experience, there’s no need to worry too much about some of the scary posts in this group. Of course, everyone’s situation is different, but in my case everything went smoothly, and the only thing they seemed concerned about was my previous use of the Fast Track service.
Answer summary
The user shared their experience re-entering Thailand with a DTV visa, highlighting an encounter at immigration where they were called for questioning due to previous use of the Fast Track service. They confirmed they did not need to use this service anymore as they have a visa. The officers did not inquire about their job or income, focusing instead on the past use of the Fast Track. The user received a 180-day stamp and conveyed reassurance to others based on their smooth entry process, in contrast to some alarming posts in the community regarding immigration procedures.

Go to Pattaya/Jomtien Immigration as soon as possible, bring your passport and old 90-day receipt, file the late TM47 report in person and pay the 2,000 baht fine. Don’t wait until police/immigration find it first.

I can't believe people like you forget to do something as simple as a 90 day report. For hevens sake just set a reminder on your phone in the calendar for 15 days before and get it done. No excuse for stupidity.

It’s 2000 baht if you miss your 90 day report it’s also 2000 baht fine if you miss the whole year so if you need nothing from immagration until your next extension and do it then pay the fine I know guys that have been doing that for many years just pay 2000 once a year

Bob D'Andrea so why not just do the 90 day report in person or online. Why abuse the system.
Graham ******
Graham ******
Graeme Drake it is not abusing the system because the system says you report every 90 days or pay a 2000B fine, paying the fine is complying with the system ;)

Bob D'Andrea Depends on the Immigration Office, the official fine is 1600bt, I also know many people that just pay the fine once a year 👍

Steve Greir official Thai gov website says a missed 90 day report results in a 2000 baht fine.

If anyone's in a province where they don't get fined, or fined less than 2,000, they should count themselves lucky and get on with their day.
Steve *******

You've missed it now so just pay the 2000B fine when you go for your next extension as 2000B is the fine whether you're 8 days late or 8 months late

Do it (voluntarily) ASAP and pay the fine (2k I think). If THEY pick you up for it, the fine is doubled.

Since he made no mention of having a multi entry visa then why assume he had?
