TLDR : Answer Summary
The process of obtaining a Non-O Visa in Thailand based on marriage requires specific documentation, including an Australian Passport and Marriage Certificate. It is advised to have both documents Apostilled and certified by the Thai Embassy in Sydney, and to get a Thai translation of the Marriage Certificate. Experiences shared by community members indicate that similar processes were followed in other countries like England and the USA, with variations in the authentication requirements depending on the country's treaty agreements.

Yes we had to get it translated, in the UK there is a Lawyer who does all the necessary actions including the translation and getting it certified by the Thai Embassy in London.

You need to do this if you wish to apply for a Non-O Visa (marriage) in Thailand or an extension of stay based on marriage (to a Thai obviously).
