Is there anyone who have experience of changing DTV visa into ED plus visa inside Thailand? Can you let me know the process?
Answer summary
The conversation discusses experiences related to changing a DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) to an ED (Education) visa within Thailand. Participants emphasize the importance of adherence to immigration regulations and highlight that DTV holders can freely participate in activities without actually going to a gym as long as they comply with the visa's terms. The discussion also touches on the perceptions of fraud regarding visa purposes and activities and outlines some practical steps for notifying immigration when changing locations and gyms.

Yes, but before you leave, tell the immigrations Office and your current gym that you are leaving Phuket. Then check in with immigration and your new gym when you get to Bangkok. My Son just did this.

Doesnt matter. An approved dtv is an approved dtv. There are little to no check ups. Soft power is cheap and easy in my experience.

Folks with tell you this, that, and the other.

Reality, no one has posted that anyone checks at all anything.

Personally I would not attend and just take the cheapest option.

The workcation seems difficult, so gaming seems better.

After arriving to the gym I applied for to get DTV, I was unimpressed. I packed my bags and went to another gym, in another city. I have already done my 90 day check in. No one cares, just do the soft power you wanted to accomplish. 🥊

You’ll be safe to train wherever, half the people booking soft power Muay Thai don’t seem to have any intention of ever even training it

and it's those who have not participated, that are at risk of being caught out at some point in the future.

Once you have your DTV you are free to participate in any activity anywhere anytime for the next 5 years

The DTV is valid for 5 years and stays valid, even when you never visit a gym.

and that is placing at risk their ability to stay in Thailand. Obtaining a Thai Visa by fraud is not a wise decision.

Is it fraud when people decide last minute not to work after entry with a Non Immigrant B visa?

Is it fraud to decide not to volunteer after seeing the facilities when you entered Thailand using a Non Immigrant O purpose volunteer?

Is it fraud to decide that the gym is a dump and has no legal and certified trainers after you got the DTV issued?

You may be against the regulation that a visa is valid for 5 years, or until a judge revokes it, or when holder/immigration/Embassy cancel it

But it is part of the regulations.

It's not fraud to change your mind, but it'd be fraud entering thailand saying that you'll be doing those activities.
