Hey, Ive just moved to Phuket (husband was joining for work but now thats postponed due to obvious reasons) So I am on my first initial 30 days Visa - however I am 34 weeks pregnant and been advised the best thing for me to do is to get a note from my doctor to say I cannot travel for 90 days - does anyone know what the rest of that process is? What else do I need? Do I just take this letter to immigration (Phuket) along with any other docs needed? Thanks 🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
To apply for a medical visa extension in Thailand, especially due to pregnancy, you need a doctor's note stating you are unfit to travel. Visit a hospital to obtain this document. With the letter, go to the Immigration Office in Phuket, and submit your application for an Extension of Stay. Required documents include your passport, copies of your passport's front and visa pages, the TM6 form, a filled TM7 form, two photos, and a fee of 1,900 Thai baht.

Welcome in Phuket. Not sure why you picked this place to get a baby but that is your choice.

You have to go to a hospital and the doctor needs to make and sign a letter that you are not fit to travel. With that letter you visit the Immigration Office and apply for an Extension of Stay based on medical reason.

My friend is on a medical extension. They had the baby last month BUT now they are waiting on the baby’s passport so they can return to Myanmar where they live.
