A UK citizen recently had their METV (Multiple Entry Tourist Visa) approved in under 24 hours. Comments reveal discussions about the validity of the visa, flight arrangements, and related questions on visa dates. It's highlighted that the METV is valid from the date of approval, and potential travelers are advised not to apply too early. One user explained that for a tourist visa, the last date on the visa indicates the final entry point, allowing the holder to extend their stay by leaving and re-entering the country within specified periods.

Just a related question on a Tourist visa it has dates on it but I’m sure they show the 90 day period in which you can use it to fly out and not the actual date of the visa itself as they had details of when we were flying out and back. Please tell me I’m right!
Did you appy for the single entry visa? When you enter you will get 60 days on arrival, can extend for an extra 30 whilst in the country.
Or if you were to leave the country and return on 23rd October, you will get a fresh 60 days that can be extended another 30 whilst still there. Apply for the extension after 6 weeks of the stamp, the extra 30 days will be tagged onto the new stamp.
E.g. arrive Oct 1st 60day stamp. Do land, sea, or air crossing around 22nd.
Arrive back by 23rd for a fresh 60 day stamp. Around Dec 4th apply for extension at local immigration office, get there for opening. Should be completed in a day.
Then you get extra 30days meaning you can stay in the country until Jan 15th
