TLDR : Answer Summary
To transfer stamps from an old US passport to a new one at Bangkok immigration, you will need to bring the letter from your consulate confirming that the new passport is a replacement for the old one. The process can be done relatively quickly, and it's possible to send someone else, such as a spouse or friend, to handle it for you. There are fees associated with the transfer, though the exact amount is not specified.

You can also send someone to do it for you like wife girlfriend or friend etc . You don’t have to go yourself.
yes my wife did the TM 30 also because she owns the place I live in . So she is the landlord.

that works for 90 day reporting BUT have you had someone file a TM.30 form for you? I have not seen it work without you giving the person filing on your behalf a filled out power of attorney form (with the two 5 baht tax stamps affixed and two witnesses signing it)
brought up an excellent point. Make SURE that you bring the letter your consulate gave you when you got your new passport with you to the immigration office.
In Bangkok you need the following things to get stamps transferred.
Just a heads up, Bangkok asked for copies of my work permit as well. My HR had done a transfer before and she indicated this was the first time they've asked for it. This happened on

Pretty fast. Needed a letter of embassy with details that new passport is replacing old one. Paid for that.
