What is the process after submitting a TM47 online for a 90-day report in Thailand?

TM47. I just applied online and straight away received an email back saying they had received my information successfully and giving me a reference number.

A pdf of the TM47, filled in with the information was attached.

Question 1: is that all there is or do I need to do something else ? Reading posts and comments, this seems too easy and too good to be true.

Question 2: on the form, none of the boxes for Visa are ticked… did I miss something when I applied. The only box to be ticked when I filled in the application was about business visa (? ). So I didn’t tick anything.

Should I go to the immigration office in person (where should I go ? I’m in BKK) with a printed copy of the pdf to sort this out ?

Thank you for any advice. ( I’ve already posted this in a Fbk group with the same name… I’m a bit confused. I wanted the group where Tod Daniels is giving advice 😊… )

TLDR : Answer Summary
After submitting the TM47 form online, you will receive an acknowledgment email, which does not indicate approval. You should wait a few days for a follow-up email confirming the application status. If no visa boxes are ticked on the form, it's typical as the PDF is often submitted partially filled out. There is no need to visit the immigration office unless specifically instructed, as waiting for the official email response is advisable.

1) Shortly after submitting a TM.47 online, you will receive an email acknowledgment that Thai Immigration received your application. This is not the same as approval.

2) A few days later (actual time can and will vary), following review of your application, you will receive another email from Thai Immigration. It will say if your TM.47 is *approved* or *rejected.* If the latter, you will be told what you need to do to remedy the situation.

Do not wait until the last minute to file a TM.47 online or in person in case you experience problems.

I successfully submitted my first TM.47 online to Chiang Mai Immigration.

Note: In Chiang Mai, if the address you enter on your TM.47 does not match the most recent TM.30 on record with Thai Immigration, your application will be rejected.

I did mine online on Sunday (2nd time) and had approval on Monday, hopefully you shouldn't have to wait long.

you're getting the cart before the horse

The confirmation you got is ONLY that you successfully submitted a 90 day report online

NOT that it has been approved

𝗤𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟮: 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺, 𝗻𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝘅𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗮 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗱… 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝗜 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗜 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗱. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗯𝗼𝘅 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗜 𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗮 (? ). 𝗦𝗼 𝗜 𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗻’𝘁 𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗮𝗻𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴.

The PDF they send you of the TM47 is always "half filled out" that's just how they send them back BUT all your info was submitted to the system

NO, do nothing and wait until you either get an approval email or a rejected email

I nearly posted a question RE: a similar thing just now.

I saved a copy of my application form and confused it w/the actual 90 day that they email to you, which I already have. 🤣

No harm done.

It just had me wondering why my email notification from immigration today gave a due date that would be "late" by my calculations....using the APPLICATION form date vs the actual valid TM47. 😄

You get TWO emails when you file a 90 day report online

The first one is headered like this and has the PDF of the partially filled in TM47

[𝗧𝗠.𝟰𝟳] (𝗣𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧 𝗡𝗢 : *********) 𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗠 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗘𝗡 𝗧𝗢 𝗡𝗢𝗧𝗜𝗙𝗬 𝗢𝗙 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗬𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗟𝗢𝗡𝗚𝗘𝗥 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗡 𝟵𝟬 𝗗𝗔𝗬𝗦 𝗥𝗘𝗖𝗘𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗗

The second one will be headered like this if you're approved (and it will have your 90 day report receipt that you print with the next due date)

[𝗧𝗠.𝟰𝟳] (𝗣𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧 𝗡𝗢 : *********) 𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗠 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗘𝗡 𝗧𝗢 𝗡𝗢𝗧𝗜𝗙𝗬 𝗢𝗙 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗬𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗟𝗢𝗡𝗚𝗘𝗥 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗡 𝟵𝟬 𝗗𝗔𝗬𝗦 𝗛𝗔𝗦 𝗕𝗘𝗘𝗡 𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗗

OR

like this if you're rejected

[𝗧𝗠.𝟰𝟳] (𝗣𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧 𝗡𝗢 : *********) 𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗠 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗘𝗡 𝗧𝗢 𝗡𝗢𝗧𝗜𝗙𝗬 𝗢𝗙 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗬𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗟𝗢𝗡𝗚𝗘𝗥 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗡 𝟵𝟬 𝗗𝗔𝗬𝗦 𝗛𝗔𝗦 𝗕𝗘𝗘𝗡 𝗥𝗘𝗝𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗘𝗗
