Hi.... after little info, as I already posted last month that I won custody of my son in court, anyway what is the procedure of getting a dependant visa?

Can you apply on a 30 day visa exempt? As I have been told you can acquire the visa with your 30 day visa exempt at immigration but you will only get 3 months.

Is this true or not??

Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The process of obtaining a dependent visa in Thailand can be complicated, especially if you are on a 30-day visa exempt. Users indicate that you may need between 15 and 21 days remaining on your visa to apply for a 90-day Non-O visa at immigration. You will need to provide documentation such as proof of funds or income. Some users also highlighted the potential difficulty of applying at certain immigration offices, emphasizing the importance of checking with the local office where you reside.

Thanks for everyone’s input yesterday.

I went back to immigration today as yesterday was hectic.

My application is under consideration and have to return to immigration on the 15th April.

you need to head on over to your immigration office and see if they can even issue an in country 90 day Non-O visa. Not all offices can do it. If they can't you're gonna be between a rock and a hard place as there's almost no where to go that has a thai consulate open to get that visa in another country.

You can get the visa in Pattaya at least and with that 3 month visa you apply for the 1 year extension. But it’s not a very easy process and you should get started ASAP if you only have 30’days

living in Khon Kaen he's not gonna be able to apply at the Jomtien office :/ You apply for that visa at the office that serves where you live in thailand.

At most imigration offices you need between 15 and 21 days left on your current 30 day visa exempt entry stamp, or a 30 day extension of that visa exempt entry to apply for a 90 day Non-O visa.

You show the 400K baht in the bank that was transferred in from overseas, OR proof you make 40K baht a month in income.

You apply for the 90 day Non-O visa it goes under consideration for between 14 and 20 days (that's why you need the time on your current stamp) and then you go back and get the Non-O visa and a new 90 day entry stamp inked into your passport

I should have also stated I am on a 60 day extension on my 30 day exempt will that make a difference??
Tod *********
THEN when that 90 day stamp runs down to 30 days or less you go back and apply for the year extension, it will go under consideration for 30 days and then you go back and get the year extension inked in
