TLDR : Answer Summary
As of the latest updates, there has been no official announcement regarding the entry visa for Thailand. Forum discussions indicate a mix of confusion and speculation about various visa types, including tourist and NON-O visas. Some users mention hearing about entry conditions, while others report sightings of entry stamps for short stays, suggesting at least some travelers are being processed. Many participants are waiting for further news, possibly on the 3rd of October, regarding changes or confirmation of the new long-stay visa and other related requirements.

Maybe get a proper visa instead of leeching off an exemption.

Nothing so far on the various forums. Guess we will have to see what transpires tomorrow.

@Stuart ********
what entry visa is he referring to? some sort of new visa
Stuart *********
@Jo *********
referring to the change to 45 days for exempt or 30 days for VOA. Only became official from this morning.

@Stuart ********
yes but he references ‘a visa’ that’s causes confusion

@Jo *********
lots of people confuse “visa exempt” with actually having a visa they get on arrival. Having the actual term “visa on arrival” doesn’t help the confusion.

many many considered the white card you filled out on the plane (TM6 - now thankfully suspended) to be their “visa”
