TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the experiences of Germans applying for the DTV visa in Thailand. One commenter shared a video of their consulate visit in Frankfurt, while another is finalizing their application as a remote worker, waiting only on their employer's letter to submit.

You can apply online via eVisa system. That being said, it’s 350 Euro fee in Germany and in Vientiane you’d just pay 10,000 Baht and get a proper visa label in the passport rather than having to drag the evisa printout with you for 5 years.

Where is your official residence (Meldeadresse)? When in Germany you must apply with Thai E-Visa.

do you have a PA with a German address on the back? That’s what they usually ask for as proof of address.
