TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the experiences of Germans applying for the DTV visa in Thailand. One commenter shared a video of their consulate visit in Frankfurt, while another is finalizing their application as a remote worker, waiting only on their employer's letter to submit.
but you stay also at Frankfurt at the moment, right?
Because i live already since a few years in Thailand.
So i have to go to a neighborhood country.

You can apply online via eVisa system. That being said, it’s 350 Euro fee in Germany and in Vientiane you’d just pay 10,000 Baht and get a proper visa label in the passport rather than having to drag the evisa printout with you for 5 years.
