TLDR : Answer Summary
A user shares their successful DTV application experience from Munich, detailing the documentation provided and the quick approval time of 5 business days. They applied for a Digital Nomad Visa while meeting the financial requirement of a bank statement showing a balance of 500,000 baht. Follow-up comments inquire about funds' location, implications of extended stays outside Germany, and practical tips for arriving in Thailand.
Do you know if you can keep your company if you stay outside of Germany for more than 180 days? Or would there be any issues with your main residence? What could happen if you stay abroad longer, for example, in Thailand with a DTV Visa? Iβd like to have a German client while operating a freelance business and live and work from Thailand for as long as possible, then repeat.

Does this money have to be in a Thai bank account?
You may have to show PROOF of your DTV Visa to airline staff on check-in for your flight βοΈ to Thailand...even to the connecting airline staff. Or to the land border crossing entry Thai Immigration Officer.
Upon arrival into Thailand, show the DTV visa to the Thai Immigration Officer and look at the STAMP placed in your passport to be sure you are STAMPED in for 180 days.
